Depending on how you wish to use your conservatory, this should influence your decision on what type of film will be best suited to your glazing. If the natural light from your conservatory is used to illuminate your home, a reflective film that transmits a lot of natural light would be best suited; on the other hand, controlling light levels for spaces that are used as offices or tv rooms would require a less transmittable film which would also reduce the heat absorbed from the sun.
Reduce Fading: The use of solar protective films helps reduce the amount of ultraviolet rays that pass through your glass, which over time inevitably fades your furniture, pictures and interior decor. This helps the items directly impacted by sun light maintain it’s original colour and have a pro-longed life.
Cost: Don’t swollow the cost of having to build a brand new hard roof to combat the sun, our solar protection film is the best and cheapest solution to achieving your desired results. By installing
Temperature Control: In hotter months, a lot of people will turn to electronics such as air condition or stand alone fans, but they don’t consider the ongoing running costs. In opposition, in colder months people will turn to central heating and electronic heaters to warm their home, again not taking on board the ongoing running costs. Conservatories will get considerably hotter in the summer, and colder in the winter with their stand alone glazing however, with solar protection film fitted, it helps to maintain the inside temperature ensuring that your room stays cool in hotter months, and warmer in colder months.
Glass Protection: Glazing can easily be scratched or gauged which reduces the integrity of the glass. With solar window film, the film takes the full brunt, ensuring the glazing behind does not get stratched, gauged or damaged in any way. It also provides a shatterproof layer, so in the event of the glass breaking it will keep the glass pieces within a protective film layer, ensuring that no one will get injured from flying glass. This saves a lot of time and money in the long term by preventing whole new glazing having to be brought.
Installation & Removal: Most conservatories can be fully fitted with solar film within a day (if done by a trained Ultrastop window films fitter). However, they’re also do-it-yourself friendly but you run the risk of bubbles and wrinkles which may competely compromise the results you’re trying to achieve.
